Exhibitors from Switzerland
The obligation of rabies vaccination has been abolished by the Federal Council. However, we advise you to protect your dog,
we recommend that you have him vaccinated against rabies, distemper, contagious viral hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus and
kennel cough.
Exhibitors from abroad
Please pay attention to the entry requirements for Switzerland. Veterinary certificate of vaccination against rabies compulsory at the border.
The vaccination must have been carried out at least 21 days before crossing the border. Its validity is that mentioned in the vaccination card (generally 3 years).
We recommend that you have your dog vaccinated against distemper, contagious viral hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus and kennel cough.

It is forbidden to have puppies of less than 3 months in the enclosure of the exhibition under penalty of exclusion of the exhibitor.

ATTENTION: In Switzerland dogs with their tails or ears cut off are exhibition bans. No refund in case of registration.

Aside from comb and brush grooming, any other grooming or handling of dogs by any means or artifice whatsoever are prohibited within the framework of the exhibition. It's about even for the use of a gallows intended to immobilize the dog. Wrapping or braiding the hair of dogs in the context of the exhibition is prohibited.

Article 73 of the law "Manner of treating dogs" must be respected:
1. The breeding, education and way of treating dogs must guarantee their socialization, that is the development of relationships with congeners and with human beings, and their adaptation to the environment. The socialization of utility dogs must be adapted to the use that will be made of these dogs.
2. The means used to correct a dog's behavior must be adapted to the situation.
Are forbidden:
 has. the shots;
 b. use:
         1. choke collars without stopper buckle,
         2. spiked collars,
         3. other aids with protruding elements facing inward, excessive hardness, e.g. blows with hard objects.
3. Only suitable dogs may be used for the draft. In particular, sick dogs or female dogs that are in an advanced state of pregnancy or who are breastfeeding are not suited to it. Dogs must be harnessed with appropriate harnesses.
The application of these requirements will be subject to monitoring. In the event of non-compliance with these prescriptions, the inspectors are empowered to encourage exhibitors to cease the practice of the aforementioned manipulations under penalty of being asked to leave the exhibition.
The organizer insures the exhibited dogs against the risk of damage resulting from fire and explosion up to the amount of CHF 2000.-- per dog. Exhibition management is not responsible for any other damage or loss (theft, flight, injury, etc.) Show officials ensure dogs are properly housed.
By registering, the exhibitor agrees to pay the registration fee, not to leave the premises with his dog before 4:00 p.m. and declares that he accepts the rules for FCI and SCS exhibitions.
The exhibitor will be informed of the acceptance or refusal of his dog. A confirmation of entry will be sent in due course and must be presented to enter the exhibition.
It will not be possible to pay the entry fees on the day of the exhibition.
Registrations by mail, fax and e-mail are not accepted.
Registration must be done online.
To qualify for discounts all dogs must be registered under the same owner.
Each registration entitles you to one free entry.
Only the 1st registered dog entitles you to the souvenir price.
A modification is only accepted until the closing of registrations. A contribution to administrative costs will be requested.

Case of force majeure: If the exhibition could not take place for unforeseeable reasons and beyond our control, we will reimburse the entry fees by making a deduction of CHF/€ 40.-- for the costs

Lodging
Dogs housed in open boxes will be tied in such a way that they cannot climb the walls or leave the box.

biting dogs
Biting dogs can be excluded by the judge without judgement. Exhibitors are responsible for all damage caused by biting dogs.

Exhibition Regulations (RE)
1. The exhibition is organized in accordance with the CBS RE. On request, this can be obtained directly from the Secretariat of the SCS, PO Box, CH-4710 Balsthal or on the website www.skg.ch.
2. The CACIB and the Réserve-CACIB are awarded according to the prescriptions of the FCI. The CAC and the Reserve-CAC according to those of the CBS.

Judgment process
The judges qualify the dogs on the basis of the standards deposited with the FCI.
If for certain breeds a standard recognized by the FCI does not yet exist, these dogs will be judged and classified according to a national standard. However, the CACIB cannot be awarded to them; in On the other hand, the attribution of the CAC is possible according to the terms of art. 7 of the SCS regulations. In all shows, with the exception of the breeding group competition, cocks and
females will be judged separately for all the classes mentioned in art. 9.2.RE. For the attribution of qualifications, appropriate account will be taken of the behavior of the dog. A dog which, by its behavior (aggressiveness) or for other reasons (e.g. lameness) does not let judge, or a dog that should not have been admitted, must leave the ring "without qualification ", with indication of the reason. Any dog ​​that leaves the ring before the start of judging will be considered as having been "withdrawn". Any dog ​​that is not presented in the ring in due time is declared “missing”.
Presentation in the ring:
Exhibitors are responsible for presenting their dogs in the show ring when required. Certificates and workbooks will be presented on request. The person presenting the dog will wear the catalog number prominently displayed.
Judgment of dogs
The dogs are examined by the judges according to the standards registered with the FCI. If for some breeds, there is not yet a standard recognized by the FCI, these dogs will be judged, but will not receive qualifications.

Qualifications
excellent (ex): to dogs which meet the criteria of the breed standard in an almost ideal way, present in excellent condition and which demonstrate a behavior and a character specific to the breed.
very good (vb): to dogs which possess to a high degree the specific abilities of the breed as regards appearance, behavior and character, whose general impression is harmonious and which are present in very good condition. However, only a few small imperfections prevent the award of the “excellent” qualification.
good (b): to dogs which generally correspond to the standard, but which nevertheless show several minor imperfections or a few major imperfections and/or which are not presented in the desired condition.
satisfactory (sat): to dogs which do not meet the specific requirements of the standard to a sufficient extent and/or whose constitution or character has significant defects. disqualified (disq): must be assigned to a dog not corresponding to the type required by the breed standard, showing behavior clearly contrary to the standard or aggressive behavior, presenting a testicular abnormality, dental deficiencies or deficiencies at the level of the jaw; to a dog whose hair and/or coat color is imperfect or to a dog showing signs of albinism. This qualifier also applies to a dog so untypical that his health is threatened. It may also be granted to a dog with disqualifying faults as defined in the breed standard.
without qualification (sq): this qualifier is attributed to a dog that does not move, jumps constantly on its handler or tries to leave the ring making it impossible to assess the movement and the pace. It also applies to a dog that refuses to be examined by a judge, making it impossible to assess teeth, anatomy and structure, tail or testicles. Also affected are dogs in which the judge detects traces of operations or treatments intended to deceive him, etc. (see FCI Dog Show Regulations 2006).
Qualifications for baby and very young classes
very promising (tp): to dogs which display the typical characteristic traits of the breed in an excellent way and which are presented in very good condition.
promising (p): dogs which correspond to a large extent to the typical characteristic traits of the breed, are presented in good condition, but which nevertheless show imperfections which do not justify the qualification "tp".
non-conforming (nc): dogs whose phenotype no longer conforms to the breed or/and which present anatomical malformations that could be detrimental to health.
Classification
The four best dogs will be classified in ranks 1 to 4, this in each class, as long as they have obtained the qualification “excellent” or “very good”. For the very young class, the best four will be classified, provided that they have obtained the qualification “very promising” or “promising”. Isolated dogs, exposed without competition, will be classified.
Couples class competition
A couple includes a male and a female, both belonging to the same exhibitor. The notation of the pair class is the same as that of the breeding groups. The ideal breeding pair is sought.
Breeding group competition
A breeding group is made up of at least three male or female dogs of the same breeder, coming from his own breeding (same breed, same breeding affix), whether or not they are his property or that of a third.
Registration for the competition of pairs and breeding groups
Before 1 p.m. on the day of the exhibition at the secretariat. For breeding groups, as many ranks are awarded as there are groups presented.

Award of the CACIB and approval of the title of “International Beauty Champion” by the FCI
At all-breed shows according to art. 1.11 of the BR the candidacy for the title of “International Beauty Champion” (CACIB) must be put out to competition.
Allocation of CACIB and CACIB-Rés
For the attribution of the CACIB (Certificate of Aptitude for the International Beauty Championship), male/female dogs qualified as "excellent 1" of the CI, CO, CU and CCh classes must be presented in the ring. The judge then chooses among these dogs the best male / the best -
their female and gives them the CACIB.
For the attribution of the CACIB-Rés, the male/female dogs remain in the ring, with the exception of the one that won the CACIB. The qualified “excellent 2” male/qualified “excellent 2” female of the class that provided the winner of the CACIB is presented in the ring. The judge then chooses among these dogs the best and awards him/her the CACIB-Rés, provided that the judge is convinced that in the absence of the dog/female dog having won the CACIB, he/she could also have awarded the CACIB to this / this last / last. The judge has the duty to appreciate the exterior taking into account to a large extent the behavior and character of the dog. The CACIB must be awarded in the ring and must not depend on any other condition. The qualification "excellent 1" does not imply an absolute right to the CACIB or the CACIB-Rés.
The judge is not required to award the CACIB or the CACIB-Rés. The CACIB-Rés. can only be awarded if the CACIB has been issued.
The CACIB and the CAC as well as the CACIB-Rés and the CA-Rés are not awarded separately. The provisions of breed clubs which award additional CACs remain reserved. If several judges per breed are involved, only one of them is authorized to award the CACIB/CACIB-Rés. to males/females. This judge is designated in advance, either by the DE or by the breed club, which must inform the DE. On the proposal of the national federation concerned, the title of "International Champion of beauty” will be approved by the FCI, namely for:
a) dogs which, according to the FCI list, are not subject to working trials and which have won four CACIB (Certificate of Aptitude for the International Beauty Championship), obtained in three different countries, under at least three different judges. One of the four CACIBs must come from the country of residence of the owner or the country of origin of the breed. Between the first and the last of the four CACIB required, there must be a period of time of at least one year and one day (for example 01.01.2010 to 01.01.2011; equality of dates).
b) dogs which, according to the FCI list, are subject to working tests and which have won two CACIBs obtained in two different countries, under two different judges and which have also successfully passed a working test recognized according to art. hard. Between the first and the second required CACIB, there must be a period of time of at least 366 days. The date of the work test is not taken into account.
The awarding of the title of “International Beauty Champion” is only possible if at least 3 complete generations are registered in the pedigree. For dogs whose owners reside in Switzerland, requests for approval titles should be sent to the CBS Secretariat.
They must be accompanied by the following parts:
- a photocopy of the pedigree
- the supporting documents attesting to the allocation by the FCI of the four CACIBs required according to a)
- the supporting documents attesting to the two required FCI CACIBs and the certificate from the breed club,
  on official form, concerning a successful competition according to b).
Transfer of the CACIB to the dog carrying the CACIB-Rés
If, during a period of time past 366 days, a dog has reached the required number of CACIBs and new CACIBs will be awarded to it, these latter are subsequently transferred by the FCI secretariat to the dog having obtained the CACIB-Rés, whether or not the approval of the title of "International Beauty Champion" has already taken place. The CACIB-Rés. is in this case cancelled, i.e. it cannot be transferred to another dog.
Award of the CAC and approval of the title of "Swiss Beauty Champion" of the SCS
At exhibitions according to art. 1.1 and 1.21 of the IR, the candidacy for the title of “Swiss Champion of beauty" (CAC) must be put out to competition. Allocation of the CAC and the CAC-Rés. For the awarding of the CAC (Certificate of aptitude for the “Swiss Beauty Championship”), male/female dogs qualified as “excellent 1” of the CI, CO, CU and CCh classes can claim the CAC. For the attribution of the CAC-Rés. (Certificate of aptitude for the “Swiss Beauty Championship”), male/female dogs qualified as “excellent 2” in the CI, CO, CU and CCh classes can claim the CAC-Rés. The judge has the duty to appreciate the exterior taking into account to a large extent the behavior and character of the dog. The CAC must be awarded in the ring and must not depend on any other condition. The “excellent 1” qualification does not imply an absolute right to the CAC or CAC-Rés. Homologation of the title of "Swiss Champion of Beauty" of the SCS The title of "Swiss Champion of Beauty" is awarded by the SCS: To homologate the title of Swiss Champion of Show, the dog must obtain 3 CAC under 3 judges different. It is imperative to obtain 2 CAC at International Dog Shows. There is no minimum or maximum time limit. The title of Swiss Show Champion gives access to entry in the Champion class
Special conditions of breed clubs for homologation Breed clubs can make homologation of the title of "Swiss Beauty Champion" dependent on the success of a work competition, a character examination, a test of selection or the result of a medical examination (e.g. certificate of dysplasia). Such conditions are subject to the decision of the general assembly of the breed club concerned.
Such conditions must also be endorsed by the CC of the SCS and be expressly mentioned in the program and in the catalog of the exhibition. Requests for the ratification or cancellation of such conditions must be addressed, until June 30 of each year, to the SCS CC. Their entry into force is set for January 1 of the following year. Approval of the title of “Swiss Champion of Young Beauty”. To dogs that have won three CAC Jeunes in the Jeune class (CJ from 9 to 18 months), under at least two different judges, at Swiss shows according to art. 1.1 and 1.21 of the IR, including at least one during exhibitions according to art. 1.1 of the IR. Approval of the title of “Swiss Champion of Veteran Beauty”. To dogs that have won three Veteran CACs in the Veteran class (from 8 years old) under at least two different judges, at Swiss shows according to art. 1.1 and 1.21 of the IR, including at least one during exhibitions according to art. 1.1 of the IR. The title of “Swiss Beauty Champion” can also be awarded to a dog whose pedigree recognized by the FCI does not mention three complete generations.
Transfer of the CAC to the dog carrying the CAC-reserve If, during a period of time past 366 days, a dog has reached the required number of CACs and new CACs are allocated to it, the latter are subsequently transferred by the SCS secretariat to the dog having obtained the CAC-Rés., whether or not the approval of the title of “Swiss Beauty Champion” has already taken place. The CAC-Res. is in this case cancelled, i.e. it cannot be transferred to another dog. The owner of the dog with CAC-Reserve is informed in writing by the secretariat of the SCS. Requests for the homologation of the title must be sent within 12 months following the fulfillment of the requirements to the secretariat of the SCS.
The request must be accompanied by the following documents:
- a photocopy of the pedigree
- the proof of the CAC required
- ev. the certificate relating to the conditions of the breed clubs
The SCS secretariat must seek confirmation from the breed club regarding any special conditions.
The approval of the “Swiss Beauty Champion” titles justifies the collection of a fee for the processing of the request. This is fixed each year by the CC of the SCS and published in the official periodicals of the SCS. The SCS secretariat regularly publishes the approved titles of “Swis
Beauty Champion” in the official SCS periodicals.
Approval of the title of "Swiss Beauty Champion" of the SCS
The title of “Swiss Beauty Champion” is awarded by the SCS:
To dogs that have won four CAC under at least three different judges, at Swiss shows according to art. 1.1 and 1.21 of the IR, including two during exhibitions according to art. 1.11 of the IR. For the approval of the title of “Swiss Beauty Champion”, between the first and the last CAC, a minimum period of 11 months and one day must have elapsed. If the breed club makes the approval of this title dependent on specific conditions, these conditions must be met.
Approval of the title of “Swiss Show Champion” of the SCS
The title of “Swiss Show Champion” is awarded by the SCS:
For the homologation title of "Swiss Show Champion", the dog must obtain 3 CAC under 3 different judges. It is imperative to get
2 CAC at International Dog Shows. There is no minimum or maximum time limit.
The title of "Swiss Show Champion" gives access to entry in the Champion class.
